On Monday, New Jersey-based developer Creative Manager Inc. announced that version 6.0 of its Creative Manager Pro application will be released in mid-February. It adds support in Mac OS X v10.3 (Panther) for calendar and contact sharing with iCal and Address Book, as well as a new sync and sharing tool that will allow you to take Web-based calendars and contact lists on the road.
“Since iCal and Address Book are important components in Apple’s latest Panther OS,” said Ron Ause, Marketing Director for the company, “it’s imperative that any project management software for the creative industries be able to work with them. Our creative clients are ecstatic over the Mac integration that they’ve already seen. The next release will take us one step closer.”
Creative Manager Pro is a Web-based project management application that works on both PCs and Macs from any location and over any connection. It helps you manage contacts and leads, chart important statistics, create project schedules and task lists, approve such paperwork as timesheets and budgets, review and approve artwork, balance your books, and more.
Creative Manager Pro 6.0 will be a free update when it’s released. You can try out an online test drive of the software before you spend US$39 per user per month (with a five-user minimum) on the hosted version, which is a subscription-based model with a one-year agreement. If you’re interested in a solution that doesn’t include an accounting function, the company also offers Creative Project Manager, which runs $35 per user under the same terms.
