Web Information Solutions Inc. has released MindFortress v1.0, which it describes as a “multimedia knowledge base app” designed for Mac OS X. The software can be used for purposes ranging from password or serial number storage to an image database and more.
MindFortress comprises 28 different “cards” that range from financial information to notes, pictures, offline Web pages, health-related information, identification info, Internet data and phone information. You can create your own cards using a template editor, assign icons to them, and share them with other MindFortress users. The software implements Blowfish-based 448-bit encryption technology as well.
Designed for Mac OS X v10.3 Panther, MindFortress will be updated with Jaguar support in a future release. You can download and try the software for 15 days before registering. MindFortress is available for an introductory price of US$14.95.
