ScreenTime Media has posted an updated version of ScreenTime for Flash, its software that enables Macromedia Flash MX users to create screen savers. The new version, 2.5, sports enhancements for Mac and Windows users alike.
ScreenTime for Flash not only takes Flash content and readies it for use as a screensaver but also provides the tools needed to create an installer and integrates all screen savers into a single control panel. Screen savers can include Web content, links to Web sites, XML data streams, interactivity and more. Users can build screen savers that work in Mac OS X and “Classic” Mac OS.
The new version of ScreenTime for Flash adds support for Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther” and Macromedia Flash MX 04. Also improved in this release is support for XML streaming and file downloading. Long file names and non-standard home locations are supported too.
ScreenTime for Flash 2.5 is a free update for anyone who purchased the software on June 1, 2003 or later. It costs US$199 for the full version, or $99 for versions purchased prior to that date.
