Value-priced digital camera maker Concord Camera Corp. is shipping and announcing new digital cameras at this week’s Photo Marketing Association (PMA) 2004 trade show. The newly shipping models include the Concord Eye-Q 2040 and 3040 AF. The newly announced model is the 5345z.
The 3040 AF model costs US$129.99, and sports a 3-megapixel sensor. Also included is a 4x digital zoom, 1.6-inch color LCD, 7MB of memory, AVI video and a macro mode for close up shooting. It also sports an SD/MMC flash memory card slot for additional storage capacity.
The Eye-Q 2040 sports a 2-megapixel resolution, but is otherwise similar in features to the 3040 AF model: It also comes with a 4x digital zoom and a 1.6 inch LCD display, 7MB of internal memory and an SD/MMC card slot. It costs $109.99.
Newly announced today is the 5345z digital camera, a 5-megapixel model equipped with 3x optical zoom; 19 scene mode selections; center-weighted, spot and multi-pattern metering; auto and present white balance selection; DPOF support; AVI video and other features. The camera sports a 1.6-inch LCD display, 9.7MB of internal memory and SD memory card support. It includes rechargeable NiMH AA batteries and a battery charger as well. The new camera is expected to hit store shelves in April with a retail price of US$379.99.
The 4363z is a $249.99 4-megapixel camera; the 3343z is a 3-megapixel model that will retail for $199.99. Both cameras sport 3x optical zooms, 7 preset scenes, 16MB of internal storage, an SD card slot for added storage capacity, and AVI video with sound at 30 frames per second. They’re both coming in the second quarter of 2004.
All of these new cameras are compatible with Mac OS X, Mac OS 9 and various flavors of Windows, and include batteries, documentation, software, USB and video cables.
