It’s only fitting that Mac game maker Feral Interactive used Friday the 13th to offer some new details about its development of XIII, an intriguing new action game Feral licensed from publisher Ubi Soft Entertainment.
XIII is a 3D action game that uses cel-shaded graphics reminiscent of what you’d see in a comic book or graphic novel. The game puts you in the role of a mysterious stranger who has no memory of who he is or what has happened. You are implicated in the assassination of the American President, however, and you are being hunted. You have the characters “XIII” tattooed on your chest, however, and you soon discover that you have some pretty remarkable abilities to defend yourself.
A new “Mini-Site” has been launched on Feral Interactive’s own home page — which itself recently got a major overhaul — that offers some tantalizing details about the new game. A trailer window will show you some info about the game; screenshots have been posted; and if you’re already a XIII fan, you can download desktop wallpaper optimized for your Mac’s screen.
Feral Interactive indicated that gamers interested in this new title should check back next week for more clues.
