Developer MindCad LLC recently announced the release of Pyramid, a tool designed to aid visual thinking by presenting subject matter in a non-linear way.
For example, Pyramid can be used by writers to map story structure, by students to organize subject matter as a study aid, or by managers to create and track project strategies. Given its open-ended nature, you can outline anything in any field with it. You simply create topic boxes and link them together however you want; each document can hold multiple worksheets that allow you to break subject matter into broad headings and then drill down to the level of detail you need.
Pyramid is available now as a 263KB download from the MindCad LLC Web site. It’s fully functional, although you’re limited to 15 objects per worksheet and 2 worksheets per document. To completely unlock the application, you can purchase a serial code for US$29.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v.10.2 (Jaguar) or v.10.3 (Panther).
