is a developer of original games for the Mac, and on Wednesday the company released a new game called
Rally Shift. The game is available for download and purchase from CodeBlender’s Web site now.
Rally Shift is an auto racing game that puts player behind the wheels of rally cars as they compete on dirt roads and paved courses through forests, mountains and desert scenarios. You can compete against other computer-controlled drivers or even go head-to-head against another player on your computer. The game includes five different courses on which to race, but CodeBlender said it’s working on more tracks and upgrades that will be released as free add-ons.
This is CodeBlender Software’s third game release for the Mac. The company has previously offered Mac gamers two other 3D titles including DeepTrouble, a submarine action game, and Epsilon Tahari: Reign of the Machines, a flight sim-style action game.
Minimum system requirements for Rally Shift call for Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later, G3/600MHz or faster; 256MB RAM; ATI Rage 128 or better with at least 8MB of VRAM. When you download the game it’s in “demo mode;” the registration fee is $25, and entering the registration code unlocks the full game.
