Snap Appliance Inc. has announced new storage capacity options for its Snap Server 1100, 220 and 4200 models. Snap Servers are Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices that provide plug-and-play access for networks of Macs, PCs, Linux and Unix boxes.
The Snap Server 1100 is now available in a 250GB configuration, in addition to 80 and 160GB models. The Snap Server 1100 is a budget-level NAS server.
The 2200 sports a 500GB model in addition to its 320GB version. The 2200 model incorporates RAID 1 mirroring; it was created for small workgroups and remote offices.
The 4200 is now available in a 640GB model. The 4200 sports hot-swappable drives, anti-virus integration, local backup support, Microsoft Active Directory support, snapshot technology and dual Gigabit Ethernet networking.
The new models are available for US$999, $1,999 and $3,495 respectively.
