Summitsoft Corp. subsidiary MacXware has announced the release of the MacFonts collection — more than 1,000 TrueType fonts that are now available for Mac OS X users. The software includes FontManager, a utility to help manage the installation, activation and browsing of fonts.
MacFonts categorizes its fonts collection into three main types: “Classic Fonts” intended for use in sales, business and marketing materials; “Designer Fonts” better suited for Web pages, brochures, greeting cards and more; and “Refined Fonts,” intended for stationery, invitations, announcements, presentations and events.
MacFonts requires Mac OS X v10.1 or later, 256MB RAM and 8MB hard disk space. The software costs US$29.99 and can be purchased now in Apple retail stores, CompUSA, Fry’s, MicroCenter or direct from MacXware’s Web site.
