SubRosaSoft.com Ltd. has released FlashRestore v1.0, a new utility designed to help digital photographers recover photos they’ve deleted from flash media.
FlashRestore works with most Memory Sticks, SmartMedia, Compact Flash I and II and SD/XD cards, as well as most brands of cameras and readers. The exception is cards used in cameras that securely delete files.
Once you’ve identified the flash media with the pictures you want to restore, you click on a Start button, and FlashRestore recovers and copies deleted images to your hard drive in a folder you identify.
FlashRestore costs US$24.95, a demo is available for download. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or higher.
