Toshiba announced recently that the company will add a new projector, the TLP-S70U, to its line-up in April. It’s capable of projecting images at 2,000 ANSI lumens in an SVGA (800 x 600) format, bright enough to make presentations in almost any ambient light setting.
The TLP-S70U also features composite and S-video inputs as well as audio in and an internal speaker. It can accept signals in formats that include NTSC, PAL, HDTV, DVD, and SVGA, making it an alternative for those who want to watch TV or movies with it or even play videogames. It’s capable of projecting images up to 20 feet high and it offers 10X digital zoom.
In addition, you can connect the projector to an external display and view presentations from either the projected image or the monitor, making it a suitable solution for teachers who want to watch their students while going over a lesson. The included remote control also allows users to almost anywhere and still control their presentations.
Toshiba expects the TLP-S70U to carry a suggested retail price of US$1,399. It will come with a soft carrying case, remote control, power cord, RGB cable, CD-ROM, and owner’s manual.
