Aspyr Media Inc. noted on Thursday that its Mac conversion of The Sims Makin’ Magic has hit store shelves. It’s the latest expansion pack for the long-running franchise, the most popular-selling computer game ever.
In The Sims, you provide the eponymous simulated people with a place to live, furniture and decorations, jobs and more. And while they operate autonomously from you for much of their day-to-day activity, you have to make sure they have everything they need to be successful and happy, and have direct control over many aspects of their lives.
Each successive expansion pack for The Sims has added something new to the experience, whether it’s new items for Sims to buy or new places for them to visit, pets, and so on. Makin’ Magic enables them to cast spells and perform magic tricks, create charms and much more. More than 175 new items have been added, along with the Baker’s Oven, Skeleton Closet, Spookshow Stage and more.
Rated T for Teen by the ESRB, The Sims Makin’ Magic costs US$29.99 and requires the full version of The Sims to play. Visit the Aspyr Web site for details.
