Computer peripherals maker LaCie recently introduced the Data Watch, a USB 2.0 wristwatch that offers 128MB of flash memory and transfer rates up to 7.39MB per second writing and 7.68MB per second reading. It also features a black wristband and watch face, which tells time in analog fashion.
The Data Watch is bus powered, so it doesn’t require an AC adapter, and its battery has a three-year life. Data transfer is plug and play, without the need for drivers, and it’s compatible with both Windows XP and Mac OS 9.x or higher for cross-platform file shuttling.
Suggested retail price is US$69.95.
