Adobe Systems Inc. on Monday announced the PageMaker Plug-in Pack for InDesign is now shipping with the Adobe Creative Suite. Adobe introduced the Plug-in Pack in January when they informed PageMaker customers that ongoing development of the product was being discontinued.
The plug-ins are designed to give PageMaker users a familiar interface if they switch to InDesign, Adobe’s newer page layout product. The plug-in pack includes ALAP InBooklet SE; Bullets & Numbering; Position Tool; Data Merge; Enhanced File Converter; Keyboard Shortcuts; Windows Style Toolbar; Template Browser and Professional Templates; and a Training DVD, Supplemental User Guide, Template Guide and Conversion Materials.
“Adobe Creative Suite with the PageMaker Plug-in Pack is the best way for PageMaker users to migrate to Adobe’s next generation creative applications, including InDesign CS,” said Jim Heeger, senior vice president of Creative Professional Products at Adobe.
Customers who currently have a copy of Photoshop (purchased either as a standalone product or part of an Adobe Collection) can upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite Premium Edition for US$749, or the Standard Edition for US$549.
