Burning Ant, the new kids on the Mac developer block, recently released Color Clucker 1.0, a shareware application that helps you create color palettes and export them in CSS, Clipboard, PICT, JPEG, or PSD format.
You can choose between artistic and scientific color theory as you play with colors, using the Tweaker and Futzer tools to fine-tune them. You work with RGB or Hexadecimal color formulas and explore eight color theory models. You can also apply multiple color theories and combinations to real-world objects and get a sense of how they look when put to use.
Color Clucker 1.0 is available for download from the Burning Ant Web site. It has a time delay at start-up that goes away once you pay the US$10 license fee. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.6 “Jaguar” or higher; it’s optimized for Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther.”
