Graphics and effects software developer Boris FX on Wednesday announced that it is shipping Continuum Complete AVX 3, a new version of its plug-in filter and transition set designed to work with Avid systems, including Avid Xpress DV, Avid Xpress Pro, Media Composer Adrenaline or Meridien hardware-based Media Composer systems.
Continuum Complete AVX 3 includes more than 160 filters that provide Avid users with advanced keying, matting, compositing, image processing, distortion, temporal effects and motion tracking.
New features include the motion tracking capabilities, the ability to apply multiple filters to keyed elements or titles without affecting the background, and a new PixelChooser capability that lets users define a masked region using a vector-based polygon that can be animated.
Continuum Complete AVX 3 is a free upgrade for version 1 customers who bought it after February 1, 2004. Upgrades for other users cost $249 for Xpress DV and Pro customers or $599 for Media Composer Adrenaline and Meridien customers.
The full version of Continuum complete AVX 3 costs $795 for Xpress DV and Xpress Pro, $1,995 for Adrenaline and Meridien.
