Users of Curious Labs’ Poser 4 and Poser 5 now have another option for exporting their animations:
announced on Friday that
Mover 5, which imports complete animations created in either of those applications, is now shipping. The software was still in Beta last month; between then and now, e-on added US$200 worth of Poser models to the package.
Mover 5 uses Dynamic Motion Reaction technology to enhance the motion effects in your Poser animations. It supports Poser 5’s dynamic hair and cloth engines and introduces rendering of anisotropic reflections, which realistically simulates hair glossiness, improving its look and feel.
The software also works with e-on’s Vue d’Esprit 4, which allows you to create realistic 3D scenery, and Vue 4 Professional, which allows you to create any type of terrain, complete with a variety of plants and trees. Combining Mover 5 with Poser and one of the Vue applications creates a complete 3D animation package.
The $200 worth of Poser models included with Mover 5 feature an octopus, a camel, a gremlin, a sea dragon, two children, and a variety of other characters. They were created by DAZ, Dedicated Digital, and Trillium36.
Mover 5 is a free upgrade for owners of Mover 4 and Vue 4 Professional. The full application is $99. It runs in Mac OS X and requires a 1GHz or faster G4 processor, 128MB RAM (256MB recommended), and 100MB free hard drive space.
