macXware recently announced an update to FontManager, a utility found in the company’s MacFonts application. The new version features user-specific font management, easier permanent installation and uninstallation of fonts, and a preview window that shows what a font will look like when type sizes, colors, and styles are modified.
The new FontManager also offers a new user interface and a QuickReference Guide that helps locate fonts and font families easier. It is a free upgrade for current MacFonts users. macXware adds that it will be included in the upcoming release of MoreMacFonts, which will feature 750 new TrueType fonts for Mac OS X users.
MacFonts is a US$29.99 application that offers 1,000 TrueType fonts for use in everything from sales and marketing materials to greeting cards and party invitations. It requires Mac OS X v.10.1 or higher, 256MB RAM, and 8MB of hard drive space.
