LaCie on Monday dropped the price of the
electronblue IV 22-inch CRT display
Blue Eye Color Calibrator. The new prices, which were reduced by US$100 each, are now $699 and $399 respectively.
According to LaCie, the monitors feature greater picture sharpness for graphics professionals and a new super bright mode that is ideal for users working in video and gaming applications. The electronblue IV monitors come with a unique dark blue casing, non-glare tube and color-enhancing blue hood (black inside) to ensure consistent lighting conditions.
“Our electronblueIV CRTs offer the highest standard of quality, consistent color, and greater eye comfort,” said Mat Gasquy, LaCie vice president of Sales. “Demanding users performing desktop publishing, graphic design and photo editing will greatly benefit from all of the features the electronblueIV CRTs and Blue Eye Calibrator have to offer. LaCie’s monitors have set the standard in the graphic industry and at this price, they are an incredible value.”
Blue Eye Color Calibrator is LaCie’s hardware color calibrator that allows the CRTs to achieve the most accurate and consistent colors possible. Designed for use with LaCie’s monitor, the Blue Eye offers a true hardware color calibration, according to the company. When used with LaCie’s LCD, it offers a software calibration of the display.
