Long-time Macintosh Webmaster, John Brochu, on Thursday launched a new Web site to help users track activity at Apple’s iTunes Music Store.
allows the user to track the latest additions, new releases and top songs and albums without launching Apple’s iTunes software.
Tune-Watch uses a tabbed interface, giving users the opportunity to configure up to eight customized pages, or tabs, consisting of favorite music genres (Pop, Rock, Alternative, etc.), list category (New Releases, Just Added, Tops Songs, Top Albums, or Featured Albums & Exclusives), list size, cover art size, and tab name. There are also pre-configured standard listings available.
Among other information, each list entry includes title, artist, genre, and cover art image, all linked directly to that specific item on the iTunes Music Store — when clicked, iTunes will be launched automatically. Also included beside each title is a small magnifying glass that, when clicked, pops up a close-up view of the item as well as information on the artist or title when available.
