Sonnet Technologies on Thursday lowered the price of their Encore/ST 1.0GHz upgrade. The upgrade is now US$299.95, down from $329.95.
The Encore/ST is compatible with Power Mac G4 AGP Graphics equipped computers and Quicksilver 2001 models, as well as G4 Mac Servers equivalent to those computers. It features a G4 745X processor and 2MB of L3 cache, supporting Mac OS 9.2 through Mac OS X.
In addition, the company lowered prices on their line of Piccolo USB flash drives by as much as $30 each. The 128MB, 256MB and 512MB models are now $69.95, $99.95 and $179.95, respectively. The drives are about the size of a car key and plug into any available USB 1.1 or 2.0 port.
