Graphics card and chip maker ATI Technologies Inc. recently released a new version of its ATI Radeon Display Utilities software, aimed specifically at Power Mac users who have upgraded their stock video systems with one of ATI’s retail Radeon graphics card products. The new version, 4.2, is ready for download from ATI’s Web site. The new software is designed to work on Mac OS X v10.2.8 “Jaguar” or higher.
New to this release is the 3D/OpenGL Overrides panel, which allows users to tweak their card’s performance and quality settings for individual OpenGL-based applications. ATI noted several compatibility issues when testing the new Overrides panel with current games. Details are outlined in a Read Me file you can review before downloading and installing the software.
