Actual ODBC Driver for SQL Server
v1.3, now with support for Omnis Studio and PHP. The new Actual ODBC Driver also features improved connection troubleshooting support for easier connection to and data retrieval from ODBC-ready applications.
Actual’s ODBC Driver enables access to a Microsoft SQL Server or Sybase database thus allowing Mac OS X users to work in the same environment as Windows users. Up until now, the software worked with Microsoft Excel and FileMaker Pro — now it supports Omnis Studio and PHP applications as well. It works on the client side, so there’s no need for corporate IT staff to install special software on their servers.
This update is free for those who own an earlier version of the ODBC Driver. You can download a free evaluation copy, which limits queries to three rows, from the Actual Web site. A single user license is US$29.95, which allows up to five concurrent connections. If you use PHP, you can purchase additional concurrent connections for $30 per block of five.
