Peripheral Enhancements Corp. has announced the addition of new three 3.5-inch portable hard drives to the company’s line of DiskGO! products, which until now consisted of USB flash drives. The new hard disks feature brushed aluminum casing and come in 80GB, 120GB and 250GB capacities. They connect to a USB 2.0 or FireWire port and ship with cables for both, along with a desktop stand and a power cord.
Pricing is US$109.95 (80GB), $134.95 (120GB) and $289.95 (250GB) after rebates of $20 for the first two drives and $30 for the third. The rebates are available through authorized reseller Web sites. As MacCentral went to press with this article, product pages for the new 3.5-inch portable drives were not yet available on the Peripheral Enhancements Web site.
