Apple subsidiary PowerSchool on Monday announced that the new version of its Student Information System (SIS) software will be released on June 25, 2004. The new release of PowerSchool will sport more than 100 new features, according to the developer.
PowerSchool is a Web-based application that enables school administrators, teachers, parents and students to coordinate the exchange of information. PowerSchool can track everything from homework assignments to grades to attendance records, class and resource scheduling, test and assignment scores, student progress and more.
Version 2004 adds automated walk-in scheduling; makes discipline and activity log reporting more flexible and less data-intensive, and adds multi-level searching within logs to meet NCLB requirements for student activity tracking; streamlines reports to help improve performance and minimize data entry; includes a School Interoperability Framework (SIF) agent, includes state-specific special compliance enhancements for California, Arizona and Texas and much more.
