If you haunt the magazine racks of your local smoke shoppe, you know that Macworld bundles a CD-ROM with newsstand copies of the magazine. In addition to loads of shareware, demos, and features, this CD contains an introduction by yours truly as well as a QuickTime video tutorial called Breen’s Bungalow.
Macworld has decided to post the contents of these CDs online so that subscribers can have access. If you’d care to view this month’s disc, you can find its address in the table of contents of the February issue. This month’s “disc” features a special 20th anniversary tribute to the Mac, the 2003 Eddy Award Winners (including over 16 tryout versions of winning software), over four hours of Scott Sheppard’s Inside Mac Radio program, and a collection of Panther tips in the aforementioned Breen’s Bungalow.
One thing about this month’s Bungalow: In the video I mention a website where you can get Whiteout, an application for removing Panther’s metal windows. The specific link I mentioned no longer works. If you go to the main page of the site you’ll find that it contains adult content. If you’re offended by such content DO NOT VISIT THAT WEBSITE. A few folks have unwittingly gone there and have been unhappy with what they’ve found.
To download a copy of Whiteout, use this link instead.
