I’m off to Boston for next week’s Macworld Expo. Should you be there as well, stop by and say hi. I’m going to be speaking my fool head off. As in…
Monday and Tuesday I present
Putting iLife to Work: Creating Practical Projects With Apple’s Creative Suite of Tools
(just saying the title should take up the first hour!).
At 11:00 AM on Wednesday I appear in the Users Group Lounge where I’ll talk about the techniques I use to assemble Breen’s Bungalow, a QuickTime tutorial that appears each month on the CD bundled with newsstand copies of Macworld (and is available in an online edition to subscribers — see the table of contents page for the link).
At 3:00 PM that same day I host the
MacBrainiac Challenge, a Mac trivia contest between two teams of geeks — Genius Barred (Peter Cohen from MacCentral/Macworld, Jason Snell from Macworld, Jim Dalrymple from MacCentral, and Bryan Chaffin from The MacObserver) and The Copland Group (Andy Ihnatko from Chicago Sun Times, Adam Engst from TidBits/Macworld, Dan Frakes from Macworld, and Rich Siegel from Bare Bones Software).
Wednesday evening I hold down the keyboard spot with the Macworld All-Star Band for the
1st Annual Macworld Attendees Party. The band’s line-up includes Paul Kent: Guitar, Bob LeVitus: Guitar, Bryan Chaffin: Guitar, Chuck LaTournous: Bass, Duane Straub: Bass, and Dave Hamilton: Drums.
Thursday at 9:15 AM I’m a panelist for Peachpit Press’
10 Essential Tips From the Mac Bible. This session is hosted by Peachpit’s ultra-urbane Cliff Colby and also features Schoun Regan from The MacTrainers and J Michael Metz from Communiweb Communications.
At 12:30 I talk iPods in my rollicking
and at 2:00 I talk even more iPods and sign copies of my book,
Secrets of the iPod, at the Peachpit booth.
I will then go off to a corner somewhere and quietly expire.
