The three most important words in real estate seem to have to served Apple’s retail stores well in the past couple of years. While Gateway announced the closing of all 188 of its retail locations, Apple’s future in the market looks bright.
Location is one of several reasons that analysts are giving Apple’s retail efforts the thumbs-up today. Apple’s branding and the combination of the iPod and the iTunes Music Store certainly have helped the company too, but Apple has spent a lot of time and money making the location and presentation of the stores second to none.
I’ve been to quite a few of the retail stores across the United States and besides a quality location, Apple has also staffed the stores with friendly, knowledgeable people.
Of course, having a G5 and iPod as showcase items doesn’t hurt foot traffic either.
