I just love utilities. Some of the best applications I have on my Mac are from shareware developers scattered around the world that have come up with the simplest, but most functional ways to get the most from my Mac. Recently, I revisited one such application that I used all the time: Entourage Email Archive.
The premise behind Entourage Email Archive is very simple — organize your email and/or attachments in the Finder, by date and time, so they are easily accessible without bogging down your email client. Entourage is a great application, but anyone with a large database file will tell you that trying to search through the email client’s folders can be a daunting task at times.
When you launch Entourage Email Archive you click on the email icon in the application to load the Entourage folder structure; choose a destination folder to store the saved emails; and choose your date, file creator preferences; and click archive.
The application has many new features since the last time I used it, which only makes it a more useful application. If you’re looking for a way to archive your mail, you might want to give Entourage Email Archive a look.
