Staz Software announced the release of FutureBASIC 4 on Wednesday. The new version of the company’s BASIC coding tool features a revamped editor and project manager, a new button bar in the project manager window for quick access to such tasks as syntax checking and application building, an XML-based scripting system for automating tasks and more. FutureBASIC uses a subscription-based model that allows upgrades for one year after payment of US$169 for a license. Annual renewals are $99, and reviving an expired subscription costs $129. FutureBASIC I and II users will pay $149 to upgrade to the new version. System requirements were not available as MacCentral posted this article.
