EXmedic Software Ltd. has announced the latest update of its 4D-based EXmedic database application, which helps doctors and their staff manage medical offices. The new version of EXmedic has renamed the Schedulings file Appointments and now includes color coding that shows the business of a particular day; extended the Report designs to bring 4D Quickreports into the database; changed the font styles of the Report designs for easier recognition of their mode of operation; added Prescriptions and Pharmacies files for tracking both; and more, including performance enhancements and bug fixes.
Upgrades from the 2003 edition of the software are US$640 for the stand-alone version and $412 for the networkable client version, while the full versions are $1,490 and $760, respectively. The stand-alone version requires 4D Runtime Classic (2003.4) while the client requires 4D application server (2003.4); both need Mac OS X v10.2.6 or higher, a processor running at 333MHz or faster, 256MB RAM and 300MB hard drive space.
