Macworld Conference & Expo returns to Boston, Mass. in a couple of weeks, and on Tuesday the show’s promoter IDG World Expo announced that Apple’s QuickTime technology will be spotlighted thanks to the International QuickTime VR Assocation (IQTVRA) and the “QuickTime Bug,” a specially outfitted Volkswagen Beetle.
The IQTVRA will present a panoramic print exhibit on the show floor featuring 360-degree images photographed by its members. Look for them in booth 137. The QT Bug, driven by Dennis Biela throughout the country, is being used to capture images and interviews through video, QuickTime VR and photographs. Look for it in booth 129. IDG World Expo has also collaborated with design firm CheathamLane to create an interactive QuickTime VR map of Boston showing popular Boston hot spots; the free map can be downloaded from the Macworld Expo Web site.
