Apple subsidiary FileMaker Inc. on Thursday announced plans for the FileMaker Developer Conference 2004. The event is scheduled to take place from August 29 – September 1, 2004 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Ariz.
This year’s event will focus on FileMaker Pro 7, the new version of the popular database software, with sessions on new tools and techniques, recommended practices, and new development approaches. A product showcase and hands-on workshop are also planned for the event, and FileMaker President Dominique Goupil will be one of the keynote speakers.
Technical sessions planned for this year’s conference include Migrating to FileMaker Pro 7: The Strategic Perspective; Instant Web Publishing with FileMaker 7; FileMaker 7 Security: Nuts & Bolts; New Selling Opportunities with FileMaker 7; FileMaker 7 Design Fundamentals; FileMaker 7 Server Configuration; FileMaker Raises the Bar; Creating Your First XSLT Stylesheet; Citrix/Terminal Services with FileMaker Pro 7; Extend Your Solutions with Plug-ins; Implementing Custom Privilege Management in FileMaker Pro 7; and Interaction Design in FileMaker Pro 7.
