Developer Thinkertons has releasedBurnerz, a free utility for Mac OS X v10.3.2 “Panther” or higher. It’srecommended for those who are considering a disc burner purchase, those whoare having problems with their current burner, or even those who want toknow more about their burner. It works with both CD and DVD burners and canbe downloaded now from the Thinkertons Web site.
Burnerz can display a list of all disc burners supported by Panther,including manufacturer and model, as well as technical information about anysuch devices attached to your Mac or residing in the computer, whetherthey’re supported or not. The read-outs can be saved as text files orprinted. The utility also provides an eject button for external burners.
