SmartSound Software Inc. on Monday introduced Sonicfire Pro v3.2, a new version of its soundtrack creation software for Mac and Windows. The new version features integration with Macromedia Flash and Avid pro video editing products.
Sonicfire Pro enables video producers to create soundtracks to accompany their work, but instead of relying on individual loops like Apple’s Soundtrack and some other applications, Sonicfire Pro works with fully orchestrated cuts. It can support markers to score specific scenes, supports an “Infinite Search Maestro” that lets you look at an online music library to find pieces that match what you’re looking for, and more.
Integration with Macromedia Flash enables creators of Flash-based content to export their soundtracks directly into Flash. Support for Avid’s MetaSync feature enables Sonicfire Pro to export music files straight into their Avid projects’ timelines.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1 or better or Mac OS 9.1 or higher, a G3 or faster, QuickTime 5.01 or higher, CD-ROM drive, 30MB available RAM, 25MB hard disk space.
Sonicfire Pro 3.2 is now available in a “Digital Creator’s Edition,” a downloadable US$99.95 version that includes limited musical selections. The Standard Edition costs $299.95 and includes 2 CDs of music; a “Bundle Edition” is also available that includes three additional CDs for $499.
