NHJ USA is launching in the United States with the new Che-ez! Foxz2 digital camera. The company bills the camera as the world’s thinnest 2.0-megapixel camera with a color LCD display. It’s built on SMaL Camera Technology’s design.
The camera is small enough to disappear into a shirt pocket — it measures 100 x 52 x 9.8mm (about 4 x 2 x .38 inches) — and weighs about 50g (1.7oz). With its tiny size and a native resolution of 1600 x 1200 (2048 x 1536 resolution is interpolated), the camera is aimed squarely at consumers and first-time digital camera buyers.
The diminutive camera comes with a flash, 2x digital zoom and 1.5-inch color TFT LCD display. It sports a built-in Lithium-Polymer battery that recharges when the camera is attached to a Mac or PC using a USB cable. It has 8MB of memory and also sports an SD card expansion slot good for up to 256MB additional capacity.
NHJ USA indicates that the Foxz2 camera is available at Target department stores nationwide beginning this week. The Foxz2 works with Mac OS X and various versions of Windows. Target lists the device with a price of US$99.99.
