Bare Bones Software Inc. on Wednesday offered a maintenance update to its popular HTML and text editor for the Macintosh, BBEdit. The new 7.1.4 release is a free update for existing 7.x users. The new release makes adds minor feature enhancements and fixes reported problems.
A new Hex Dump tool option has been added, and the “current search strings” property of the application can now be modified through the scripting interface. Also, BBEdit’s HTML Tools feature has relaxed its restriction on root URL creation.
