MYOB US Inc. has released AccountEdge 2004 Network Edition, a multiuser accounting package aimed at small businesses. The software uses Rendezvous, the auto-discovery networking technology Apple includes with Mac OS X v10.2 or higher, to let users find their company’s accounting files without needing to mount network drives or browse server directories. MYOB also claims a two to four time speed improvement in creation of invoices, purchase orders and other transactions across a network.
AccountEdge 2004 Network Edition requires Mac OS X v10.2.8 or higher. The software costs US$399 and is licensed for three users; additional seats cost $149 or in packs of five for $499. It’s fully compatible with MYOB AccountEdge 2004 for Mac and MYOB Plus for Windows.
