French developer AdnX Software has updated its child-friendly Web browser KidsBrowser to version 1.5 and debuted HomeProject, a project management application. The new version of KidsBrowser features theme management, stability improvements, better printing, a new preferences pane and more. It requires Mac OS X v.10.3 and a license costs US$34.52 at current exchange rates; current users can upgrade for free. A limited-function demo is available for download.
HomeProject 1.0 allows you to assign resources to projects, track costs and set up tasks. You can display information in a Gantt chart or in a report window and get a sense of where you are with respect to timelines, project status and objectives. You can also share data with iCal, Address Book, Excel and other applications. Mac OS X v.10.2.8 or higher is required. A HomeProject license is $34.52 at current exchange rates, and you can download a limited-function demo from the AdnX Web site.
