IOGEAR announced on Tuesday the launch of their new line of 3.5-inch ION drives, which ship with FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 connectivity — the previous ION line was FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 compatible. They’re available now in 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, 200GB and 250GB capacities for US$219.95, $269.95, $319.95, $369.95 and $419.95, respectively. An empty drive enclosure sells for $99.95. The new ION drives are compatible with Mac OS 9.2 and higher.
