Babel Co. has released a version 2.5 of Impression, its backup software for Mac OS X that burns directories to optical discs and copies disk images to mounted hard drives. The new release gets a speed boost, sports a new interactive Backup Options sheet, enhances alerts, information dialogs and session log recording, fixes bugs and much more — more than a dozen changes have been made to the software since its last release. Impression 2.5 requires Mac OS X v10.2 or higher and supported media. It costs US$25 to register. Version 2.5 is a free update for registered users.
