Programmer Ryan Gordon, who developed both the Mac OS X and Linux conversions of Unreal Tournament 2004 on behalf of developer Epic Games, has released an “unofficial” patch for MacSoft’s version of Unreal Tournament 2004. The new release — 3204 — keeps the Mac version current with the latest PC patch.
In releasing the patch, Gordon indicated that it was “unofficial” as it hadn’t yet been vetted by MacSoft’s Quality Assurance (QA) department. “Please note that this patch hasn’t gone through MacSoft QA (or really much of any QA, to be honest), but in the interest of time, I’m putting this out there now. If that makes you nervous, you should wait for an official announcement from MacSoft,” said Gordon.
The patch, measuring about 12MB, can be downloaded from several mirror sites listed on Gordon’s news page at the link above.
