Nikon on Friday released the Coolpix 4100, a 4.0-megapixel digital camera aimed at families. The camera features Scene Assist and Blur Warning functions to help photographers get the picture right the first time, and supports PictBridge to transfer files directly to compatible printers without needing to go through a computer first.
The camera includes a 3x optical lens, 35-105mm in 35mm equivalent. It sports 14.5MB of internal storage capability and works with SD memory cards, has 15 “Scene Modes,” panorama assist, red-eye reduction, auto focus assist, continuous shooting at 1.5 frames per second, a USB interface and more. The Coolpix 4100 uses two AA batteries. Nikon said the new camera will ship this summer for US$299.95.
