German developer Native Instruments has announced the release of
NI Komplete 2. The collection of 11 sound tools from the company’s series of stand-alone music applications features various synthesizers, instrument emulators, samplers and effects. It includes the synthesizers Absynth 2, Reaktor 4, B4 Organ, FM7 and Pro-53; the sample libraries Kontakt 1.5, Kompakt, Intakt and Battery; and the effects collections Vokator and Spectral Delay.
Pricing for the full version is €999 (US$1,149), with upgrade discounts for customers who already own some of the applications included in the set. Those who have two or three of the tools can upgrade for €699 ($799), those with four to six of the applications can upgrade for €299 ($339) and anyone who already has seven or more products can upgrade for €99 ($119). System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.6 or higher, a G4 processor running at 733Mhz or faster (1.25GHz recommended) and 256MB RAM (512MB recommended).
