Adobe’s Jim Heeger kicked off the second annual Mac Design Conference on Wednesday with a keynote that challenged attendees to “define great design” and featured a demonstration of the company’s Adobe Creative Suite line of graphic design applications. The same morning, four professionals received their acrylic 2004 Mac Design Crabby Awards for creative achievement in five categories. Michael Bast won for Best of Show and Illustration, David Cuerdon for Photography, Todd Adkins for Print, and Brian Frank for Web Design. As MacCentral posted this article, the Mac Design Web site had not yet been updated with current keynote and Crabby Awards information. The Mac Design Conference runs through June 4 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago.
