Pixar’s public announcement that it won’t be working with Disney after the end of its current distribution deal hasn’t stopped Disney CEO Michael Eisner from holding out hope that the two studios can broker some sort of arrangement. “I will not believe it is over until it is over,” he said to investors during a recent Webcast conference, according to Forbes. In late January, Pixar announced that it had ended efforts to extend its seven-picture distribution deal with Disney, which will expire after the companies release “The Incredibles” and “Cars.” In announcing the end of the effort, Pixar CEO Steve Jobs said it was “a shame that Disney won’t be participating in Pixar’s future successes.”
