Sharp Systems of America has announced two new 17-inch LCD displays, the LL-172G and LL-172A. The displays both feature 1280 x 1024 native resolution, 300-nit brightness and 450:1 contrast ratio. They also sport 16ms response time, color management capabilities and different brightness modes to help conserve power. A slide height and swivel adjustment system is built in, and the displays come in black or white chassis options. The US$499 LL-172G sports both an analog mini D-sub 15-pin connector and a DVI-I connector, while the $479 LL-172A is an analog-only display. The Sharp Web site had not been updated with information about the new displays when MacCentral posted this article.
