Alien Apparatus Co. Inc. on Monday introduced the Solo Performer Show Controller, a 6-button foot pedal device that helps solo musicians control performance events while they happen, using a 6-button foot pedal device connected to their computers through a USB interface. The device can activate playlists of backing audio files, lyric displays and lightshow events using DMX512-based lighting systems. The Solo Performer Show Controller works with Mac OS X and Windows 2K/XP and costs US$595.
