Tenon Intersystems announced on Tuesday the release of new versions of its mail server Post.Office and its Web-based e-mail client WEBmail. Post.Office 3.6 offers a new plug-in architecture that allows administrators to easily add such open source tools as SpamAssassin and the virus scanner ClamAV to their mail servers. WEBmail 6.0.1 adds an integrated Web-based calendar that can be shared in a group environment, with the option of setting viewing privileges for certain people and maintaining multiple calendars.
The Post.Office 3.6 upgrade is US$175 for administrators with 500 mailboxes or less; otherwise, it’s 20 percent of the original purchase price. Full licensing is $295 for the first 100 mailboxes and 10 mailing lists, with blocks of 100 mailboxes or lists available for $150 ($75 educational pricing). If you have 10 accounts or less, Post.Office is free. WEBmail is an add-on package with prices starting at $500. Both applications’ system requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or higher.
