Developer M-Audio has announced GrooveLab, a 24-bit 96kHz USB device that plugs into your Mac and offers high-quality audio through its 1/8-inch stereo output jacks. It ships with a headset that has a built-in microphone for recording vocals and Live Delta software for mixing and editing the included music tracks, which cover rock, electronica and other genres. Live Delta allows you to change the tracks’ tempo and pitch, add effects and mix in your recorded vocals. M-Audio expects to make more music track collections available for download in the future. Suggested retail pricing is US$129.95, and system requirements call for a G3 or better processor, Mac OS X v10.2.6 or higher and 128MB RAM.
